SCL 360° FEEDBACK INTRODUCTION

During 1995, a new component of leadership development, 360° Feedback was introduced at Shell Canada. It is designed around Shell's Leadership and Management Areas of Competence identified in the succession planning and development model.

The purpose of 360° Feedback is to provide recipients with individually focused feedback that will help them determine what personal and professional development activities will produce the greatest return on their efforts.

Feedback from direct reports, peers, and customers/clients is anonymous - the person receiving the feedback will see only a consolidation of responses for each group of respondents. If the minimum of three responses is not met for any of these groups, then the feedback for that group will be consolidated with peer feedback.
