EDI Viewer - BC Business Unit Maintenance


The BC Business Unit Maintenance window is used to enter data that plants and facilities can be linked to. The Business Unit is a level higher than plant and facilty and is used to run reports at this higher level. For example, you can linked 10 different plants and facilities to one business unit and then run reports by this business unit.

Once you add a business unit, you use the Plant and Facility Mainteance window to linked plants and facilities to a business unit.

   
To add or insert a new row, do the following:
  • Right-click your mouse where you want to add the row to get a popup menu, and then choose add or insert.

Example:

  • To add a business unit, right click your mouse under the Business Unit heading.
  • The Business Unit name is for information only and are not used to validate anything.

To delete a row, click on the row you want to delete and do the following:

  • Right-click your mouse to get a popup menu and choose delete. The row is removed from the screen but is not deleted until you scroll to another row or click the Save toolbar button.

Note: You will not be able to add or delete rows if you are in read only mode.

To Sort, click on the headings. To sort by Business Unit, click on the Business Unit heading and the business units will be sorted in ascending order. Clicking on the Business Unit heading again will sort the business units in descending order. This can be done for any column by clicking on the heading.

Clicking on the Sort toolbar button gives you the option to sort by multiple columns at once.

 
   
To Print, click the Print toolbar button or choose Print from the File menu.
