EDI Viewer - Query Parameters

Go to Sample Queries

EDI Viewer allows you the ability to query your data with many different combinations.

The query parameters are found at the top of the Crown Royalty Invoice window. These selections will be enabled/disabled depending on which report tab you are on. For example, when you are on the Invoice report tab, only the Invoice list box is available because when you are looking at the invoice, it doesn't make sense to choose a product.

These query parameters can be used individually or in conjunction with each other. The query parameters determine what data is retrieved from the database. Once the data has been retrieved, the Filter button on the toolbar can be used to further refine the data.

In the example above, the report will only retrieve data that is for invoice 34309 AND is between production period 1995-10 to 1996-01 AND has a product code equal to GAS AND has a facility code equal to Now Demo. If more that one parameter is entered, AND is always used to build the query for retrieving data. If only the facility parameter was entered and all the others were blank, the report would show data for facility Now Demo for every invoice that has been imported. This could take a long time.

The more parameters you enter, the faster the data is retrieved because you are being specific on what you want.

To clear out all of the query parameters, click on the pencil icon on the right side of the screen.
To clear out only one query parameter, click on that parameter, eg Product, and press the Delete key on your keyboard. This will only clear out the parameter you are on.

The list showing Facility indicates that the list to the right of it will show facilities you can choose.

The Facility list contains other values and when they are chosen, the list the to right will show the corresponding data. By choosing Unit, the list to the right will contain all units. By choosing Well Group, the list to the right will contain all well groups, etc.

The values in the Facility list are:
